Every second of a twenty-four hour day is played on a guitar. Through a repeated formula, every minute of the day has a specific note or combination of notes particular to that minute.By listening to the time in this form, I am creating a way for a viewer to be both hyperaware of, and distracted from, the time. Either from obscure noises of the guitar amp, or the fatigue of the player when switching notes, there is a reminder of this clock not being a machine.
